AND A WHOLE FRESH ETROG ON THE OTHER
I MADE A SCULPTURE OUT OF DESSICATED ETROG.
IT HELD A SCENTED LIQUID IN A BASKET
IN THE MANNER OF THE SYNCRETIC SAINT
NINO DI ATOCHA, PATRON SAINT OF THE UNJUSTLY IMPRISONED.
THE NINO SCULPTURE WAS DUBBED EDUARDO.
A POTENTIAL CUSTODIAN WAS TO SET UP THE SCALE WITH EDUARDO ON ONE SIDE
AND A FRESH ETROG ON THE OTHER.
THE ETROG WOULD STARt OUT HEAVIER THAN EDUARDO.
THE CUSTODIAN WAS TO MONITOR AND DOCUMENT THE PROGRESS
UNTIL THE ETROG HAD DRIED ENOUGH
TO WEIGH THE SAME OR LESS THAN EDUARDO.
They were also to tincture the etrog with infused alcohol to slow the progress of mold, and to refill Eduardo’s basket intermittently with a citron scent.
EDUARDO TRAVELED TO LOS ANGELES FOR SCENT WEEK IN SPRING 2025.

OF THE EDUARDO ASSEMBLAGE
People bid with the number of assemblage-related interactions they committed to having with me
over a set period, while following the rules of the assemblage.
I hoped to enlist a partner in open discussions about the creation of this scent
“Hallucinations of a BDS Etrog.”
Asia Wong bid 23 interactions with me and won the auction.
I PACKED UP EDUARDO AND HIS ACCOUTREMENTS
AND TOOK A LAST PICTURE
ASIA CAME BY WITH HER INFANT SON AND PICKED UP THE BOX.
By the time she set up the piece, the etrog had been lost, and she used a large lemon.
LIFE EVENTS GOT IN THE WAY OF ASIA’S ABILITIES TO FULFILL THE ASSEMBLAGE CONTRACT,
SO WE FOUND ANOTHER PERSON TO TAKE OVER.
SARAH, ANOTHER ATTENDEE WHO HAD BID ON EDUARDO IN JUNE,
CAME TO ADOPT HIM FROM ASIA.
SHE SET UP THE ASSEMBLAGE AT HER HOUSE.
A NEW FRESH CITRUS FRUIT HAD TO BE PROCURED. SHE USED A LARGE ORANGE.
SHE REPORTED PROGRESS VIA TEXT.
THE ORANGE DECOMPOSED SUFFICIENTLY AND EQUILIBRIUM WAS ACHIEVED !
